So why are we obsessed with the number twelve?

What have we been vaping? Sure, it’s an interesting concept to simplify and diversify our life but at what cost ??

Oh it is free.

Okay nevermind! — let’s go full speed ahead and see where this Twelvification goes. As long as we don’t start flipping the light switches in compulsive sets of twelve — its worth a try.

We just need to find eleven ten like-minded people who want to be in a boat team thing that operates like a gang while subversively reclaiming the church by slowly molding itself into a new divine image.

Do you know what the first step of hang-gliding was?

Like the VERY first one?

I bet you anything it was

observing

birds.

So then did humans invent hang-gliding?   That is the real question. Seems like without birds there’d be no inspiration for hang-gliders or planes. Wouldn’t even enter our consciousness to defy gravity like that. The only time a sapien would have seen a living thing in the air it was falling to it’s injury/death.

Although —without birds we still could’ve copied wasps or bats, but that route probably would’ve skipped hang-gliders and gone straight to weaponized drones.

Think about it!

Actually,  wait…

No — don’t bother.

Nobody cares about the ACTUAL first conceptualization of hang-gliding.

Stop distracting us with pointless drivel.

That was too harsh please take it back! Speak kindly.

It might be pointless drivel but who else thinks of that? That is the price of being original!

Okay yes you’re right we take it back. Our bad.

I think we’re just overly excited about this new/old human formation idea. We think it could unleash some new relational and spiritual potential.

Let’s not get distracted.

Boat team gang church.

Boat team gang church?

Okay clearly it needs to be workshopped a bit — and God please let it be reasonable, enjoyable, powerful, loving, and interesting. We want it all.

Have we wondered why we’re spending so much time thinking about relationships, formations, and belonging ?

Is it because we’re lonely?

Or excited about the future   ??

Ha! yeah definitely both.

This life is so fascinating and complex, huh. What a weird thing going on here.

Okay can we move on to something different now? Let’s get down to the gnitty-gritty 😉

Knitty-gritty? Nitty-gritty?

What we love about Seth is that he just does it. He doesn’t need to talk much about his values or motivations because he just does it. So much respect.

What we love about Dave is that he is deeply experienced in being a good man, good husband, and good father. He builds and fixes things in a way that reminds me of my father.

What we love about Michelle is that she is a fighter that has been knocked down several times — and yet she gets up every morning to go be a badass.

What we love about Eleanor is her sweetness in friendship. Eleanor is the friend everyone should have.

What we love about Taylor is that we’ve been able to look up to him at many times across many years and he is still revealing to us what a great man looks like.

What we love about Jewel is that she works inspiringly hard. She is very loyal to her people and she doesn’t half-ass anything.

What we love about Nan is her joy for life. She has had this joy for many years and is not about to let it go even through sorrow and loss. She has a tender heart and a fiery spirit.

What we love about Mike is that he fights for truth with perseverance. And we love that he has earned the freedom to move through the world with the swagger and focus of a seasoned fighter.

What we love about Lydia is her passion. She runs at a very high level, with a very strong engine, and her Nan’s tender heart. Her drive for life makes us want to be her catalyst. She is one who is sent and set off. We still don’t fully know what that last line means, yet we intend to find out!

What we love about Randi is his ineffable presence. He operates at a depth or frequency or wavelength that we long for because pure gentleness and peace is conjured from just being around him. Is that what aura is? If so— 10/10 aura. Also great sense of humor and unbelievable gift-giver.

What we love about Jane is that she will go to surprising lengths to care for the ones she loves. She will even care for the strange men who marries into her family as her own.

What we love about Amelia is that she is an unflinching revelation of the human experience. She reveals God to us by simply being. Watching her exist is better than any movie we’ve seen.

Hello there and welcome back to another episode of the unfathomable mysteries the universe.

Let’s imagine the last scene on earth.

The VERY last one.

The one right before the stage is set on fire by a red giant who just finished being the star of the whole show.

Our imagination may want to conjure up images of pure hell.

Chaos, fear, weeping, gnashing of teeth, etc! Basically everything going to shit. The earth is about to be engulfed into a cosmic lake of fire while every living thing on earth is fuckin, duckin, or murderin.

Sounds a lot like hell to me brother!

Well what if that last scene — the one before the sun explodes — is actually the entire cast of earthly consciousness performing a solemn bow.

A bow of thankfulness to our sun for it’s countless eons of life-giving energy.

A bow of gratitude from the creator of this reality to the creator of this reality.

No fear or anguish.

Eyes filling with lovely tears that fall onto hearts beating their final goodbyes.

Is this the heaven that everything has been pointing towards?

The arrow of evolution finally finds its mark?

Or the cosmic particle puzzle…. solved ?

The tapestry… completed  ?

The image on that tapestry… revealed    ?

Then the curtain is abruptly closed. The light of our collective consciousness goes out.

Until we feel the proud applause from a sold-out crowd of galaxies all twinkling their giant hearts out.

And then would every particle of our plucky little planet get rapidly transformed and dispersed back into the loving arms of our creator?

Including Merlin ?
